behind every operation.

Dr. Mohamed Saeed completed his MBBCh in Medicine and Surgery at Cairo University in 2013, followed by a four-year specialist registrar programme in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Cairo University Hospitals. The training period coincided with the establishment of the Egyptian Society of Plastic Surgeons' modern higher-training pathway, in which he was among the first cohort to qualify under the new examination structure.

A Mediterranean Plastic Surgery Foundation fellowship in Milan followed, dedicated to rhinoplasty and facial rejuvenation under Prof. Foda — a year that fixed the closed-technique approach to rhinoplasty as the central preference in his subsequent practice. Two further years as a visiting fellow in Vienna, under Prof. Schlenz, focused on body contouring, breast aesthetics, and the ergonomics of the operating room itself.

An exclusively cosmetic practice

The practice opened in First 6th of October in 2024 as a single-surgeon consultancy. There are no junior associates and no resident clinic staff who see patients on Dr. Saeed's behalf. The patient who attends the first consultation is the patient who attends the second, the operation, and every follow-up. This is intentionally inefficient and deliberately conservative — it is the model that every surgeon would choose if he or she were the patient.

The volume question

Dr. Saeed performs between four and seven cosmetic operations a week. He does not operate on Sundays. He sees consultations only on three days of the week so that the rest of the week can be devoted to operating with rest in between. The practice has no ambitions to grow into a chain.

Teaching and writing

Outside the operating room, Dr. Saeed has lectured at ISAPS, IMCAS, MEAS, and EURAPS. He sits on the editorial board of one regional aesthetic surgery journal and writes infrequently — but seriously — on consultation philosophy, on the ethics of transparent risk disclosure, and on the long-term outcomes of patient-led decision-making.
